Activity Club Clothing - What To WearDon't Forget Your Wellys

At the Animal Days Out After School Wildlife Activity Club, we go outside in all weathers!

Please ensure your child attends the Club or any Activity Days dressed in suitable clothing.

Our activity sessions can be both inside a venue and outside in the wild! With the great British weather, who knows whether it will rain or shine! Appropriate clothing will mean your child gets the maximum enjoyment whatever the weather. Don't worry though, we will always advise you the best type of clothing required for specific trips.

Suitable Club Clothes

Where possible, the majority of the session and play will take place outside, therefore please ensure children are dressed in old clothes that can get dirty without any fuss! Even inside, the activities may include messy arts and crafts or perhaps soil and planting.

Raincoats with a hood are essential for club please, as we will not always come inside just for a little rain!

Occasionally we may advise that your child brings along a spare set of dry clothes or footwear for some field trips or Holiday Club activities.

Suitable Footwear

With each session having both inside and outside activities, we recommend comfortable trainers. For waterproofing those wet weather days, please bring wellies as well to club for wet outdoor sessions, that they can change into.

Please wear comfortable trainers that are not precious! Designer trainers will not look quite as good caked in mud!

Wellies or walking boots will also be required for Autumn and Winter seasons and optional field trips where specified. Wearing crocs or sandals in summer will not be appropriate.

RefreshmentsDon't Forget To Bring A Drink

As some of our activity play is physical, please ensure that your child brings a labelled drink to the club, preferably in a leak proof bottle or container that can be reclosed and taken outside.

For the longer Ranger sessions, please feel free to include a small preferred snack for your child although we will have biscuits to hand!

Don't Forget..

Although our staff are extremely resourceful, don't forget other items like sun hats, lip seal and a high factor sun block lotion for those hot and sunny days. If its cold, windy or rainy then gloves, scarves and additional layers of clothing will be the order of the day.

If your child requires any medication, please don't forget to speak to our club leader when handing over your child to ensure medical instructions are clear and concise.

We carry a fully laden first aid kit at all times and our club leaders are trained and certified as qualified first aiders .
