Forest School, Outdoor Play and Learning ExperienceOutdoor Learning

Our Activity Clubs are for children and young people aged 5 to 14 years old. Our aim is to provide an alternative club with animal, wildlife, nature and outdoor themes with a fundamental ethos of Forest School and Bushcraft involving outdoor play and opportunities to get close to animals, wildlife and nature.

Many Benefits

Outdoor play and experiential learning offers fantastic opportunities and rewards for children and young people. It provides numerous benefits through fun, enjoyment, motivation and personal development. There is no substitute for using our natural senses by smelling, touching and listening to the natural world and wildlife around us.

There is recent research supporting and identifying links between standards of physical health and understanding how to connect and experience the natural environment. There is growing international evidence that natural environments are beneficial for psychological and emotional health. Young people who have lots of opportunities for physical play are more likely to stay active and fit in the future.

Animal Days Out PartnersAnimal Days Out Partners

We work with our key partners and experts in the fields creating diverse opportunities for young people to get up close to wildlife and animals. Our trips and experiences will provide additional opportunities within the clubs and on weekends and holidays for children to join us on adventures! We bring the experts into our sessions to provide a valuable insight and learning experience.

Risk Management

All the venues we use are risk assessed and our programme of activities and materials are age appropriate. Our club staff are all Enhmaced DBS (Police) checked and we work with and in conjunction with qualified youth workers. We have qualified First Aid staff on site at all times. Exposure to acceptable levels of risk in the security of supervised groups will support children and young people to learn about the risk and challenges of growing up and life.
