Please add Sunday 2nd November 2014 into your diaries and come along from 12 midday until 3pm to our first ever fund raiser event. The funds raised will go towards the cost of developing our new reptile centre at The Environment Centre where we are based. Our thanks go to the kind support of Wide Horizons who have kindly allowed us to use their buildings and grounds for the afternoon. The Environment Centre is not normally open to the public, so its a great opportunity to appreciate the wonderful setting where we are based.
What an afternoon we have in store for everyone, with a whole host of activities, games, animal encounters and stalls. What's more, its FREE entry for all the Family!
♦ Animal Encounters - All our lizards, snakes and mini beasts will be out in full force for an amazing interactive encounter.
♦ Mammal Experience and Cuddle Corner - Come and visit our small mammal enclosures, not normally open to the public, before sitting down and having a cuddle with one of our guinea pigs.
♦ Jambs Owls - We will be joined by our friends at Jambs Owls, who will be bringing along a selection of their incredible and beautiful owls.
♦ Joe's Bows Country Sports - If you fancy a shot at Archery, then our friends at Joe's Bows will be able to point you in the right direction, preferably towards the target!
♦ Christmas Gift and Independent Stalls - Need some ideas for presents with Christmas only 7 weeks away! Why not browse our gift stalls with a large range of gift ideas. We will be joined by a number of independent stall holders who we thank for supporting this event. Our after school activity club children will also be setting up their own stalls from their own ideas, so who knows what treats they have in store.
♦ Bake Stand - No event would be worth a visit without a large selection of scrumptious cakes!
♦ Bouncy Castle - Give the children a chance to let off some steam.
♦ Arts and Crafts - A relaxing area set up for all sorts of Arts and Crafts.
♦ Tombola and Raffle - Some great prizes and gifts in the Tombola and Raffle.
♦ Face Painting - Glitter Tattoos - Special FX Wounds - As it's halloween, how about a gruesome face paint or a nasty looking special effects wound? How about a butterfly face paint or glitter tattoo then?
♦ BBQ - For those who have missed out on lunch, we will have a BBQ on the go with a selection of burgers and hotdogs and soft drinks.
So something for ALL the family! An amazing selection of activities for the afternoon, so don't miss out on the 3 hours of fun.
We really appreciate all your support here at Animal Days Out, so please tell your friends and family, like us and share our events on Facebook or re-tweet on Twitter.
Please note due to public safety, there will be no parking onsite during the afternoon. There is free and safe parking on Bexley Road, immediately outside the centre and at Glenesk Road a short walk from the centre. On arrival you will be asked to register and will given your map and details of where to find all the attractions. The afternoon will finish at 3pm with raffle and prize winners before a short thank you speech from the directors ending the event until next time.
